Building the House of God
The Emmanuel Chapel in Persistence is an important building to the inhabitants and has already featured in a number of games. Here's how it was made... Like most of my models the chapel is built from 5mm foamcore. These are the wall, floor and bell tower pieces cut out.
The wall sections have had window frames fitted. These are from Wells Railway kits.
Construction has begun, walls stuck to base. Tower platform with sides fitted and doll's house staircase bannisters added to support the roof. I always keep a couple of figures to hand to make sure I am happy with the scale of what I am making.
The wooden beams that support the building. Church now stuck to base, balsa floor in the main part of the building and through the base of the tower.
Interior detail added, roof beams in place and a LARGE crucifix too:0)
Sand going on the base. The finished model has had front steps, roofs and balsa cladding on all its walls added. It is now ready for painting. To see the finished model return to the CHAPEL If you have any comments, suggestions or just want to tell us what decent chaps we are please email us email: tim.eagling@gmail.com |
